Supplication
Niyyat: Namaaze Janaazah
Niyyat of the funeral prayer (Namaaze Janaazah). The first form is taken by the pesh imam; the second by the others present praying behind him
أُصَلِّي صَلَاةَ الجَنَازَةِ خَمسَ تَكبِيرَاتٍ لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَدَاءً مُستَقبِلَ الكَعبَةِ الحَرَامِ اللَّهُ أَكبَر (لِلمُقتَدِينَ:) أُصَلِّي صَلَاةَ الجَنَازَةِ خَمسَ تَكبِيرَاتٍ لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَدَاءً مُستَقبِلَ الكَعبَةِ الحَرَامِ مُؤتَمًّا بِالإِمَامِ اللَّهُ أَكبَر
Uṣallī ṣalātal janāzati khamsa takbīrātin lillāhi ʿazza wa jalla adāʾan mustaqbilal Kaʿbatil ḥarāmi Allāhu Akbar (For those praying behind the imam:) Uṣallī ṣalātal janāzati khamsa takbīrātin lillāhi ʿazza wa jalla adāʾan mustaqbilal Kaʿbatil ḥarāmi muʾtamman bil-imāmi Allāhu Akbar
I pray the Namaaze Janaazah (funeral prayer) with five takbirs for the sake of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, as a fulfillment, facing the Sacred Ka'ba. Allah is the Greatest. (For those praying behind the imam:) I pray the Namaaze Janaazah with five takbirs for the sake of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, as a fulfillment, facing the Sacred Ka'ba, following the imam. Allah is the Greatest.
