The rakaat starts with the taking of the niyyat for Namaaz. Make the niyyat naming the prayer, whether it is fardh or sunnat, the number of rakaats, that it is ada, and facing the Qiblah (the Kaaba in Makkah). The example shown is the niyyat for Zohor Fardh; women say 'mustaqbilatal'. The niyyat is taken only in the first rakaat.
- 2 Takbeeratul Ehraam تكبيرة الإحرام

While going to rukoo say 'Allaho Akbar', then bow. While in rukoo recite the tasbeeh 'Subhaana Rabbiyal Azeem wa be hamdehee' three times.
