Ashara
11- ✦ Dua of Ashura — 10 Moharram On the day of Ashura (10 Moharram) — in remembrance of Imam Husain (AS) دُعَاءُ يَوْمِ عَاشُورَاء
- ✦ Dua — Day 7 of Moharram (Maa Band) 7th of Moharram — the day Yazid's forces cut off water to the camp of Imam Husain (AS), three days before Ashura دُعَاءُ يَوْمِ السَّابِعِ — قَطْعُ الْمَاء
- ✦ Dua — 8th Moharram (Laila Husain — Night of Loyalty) 8th of Moharram — Imam Husain asked for one night to spend in prayer and preparation. That night, he addressed his companions, released them from their pledge of loyalty, urged them to leave under cover of darkness, and extinguished the lamps. Every single companion refused to leave. - Dua — 1st Moharram (New Year) On the 1st of Moharram — the Islamic New Year and first day of Ashara Mubaraka دُعَاءُ رَأْسِ السَّنَةِ الْهِجْرِيَّة
- Dua — 2nd Moharram (Arrival at Karbala) 2nd of Moharram — the day Imam Husain (AS) arrived at the plains of Karbala. He asked the name of the land, wept upon hearing it, and said: 'This is the land of karb (sorrow) and bala (affliction).' دُعَاءُ الْيَوْمِ الثَّانِي — وُصُولُ الإِمَامِ الْحُسَيْنِ إِلَى كَرْبَلاَء
- Dua — 3rd Moharram (Siege Begins) 3rd of Moharram — Umar ibn Sa'd arrived with 4,000 soldiers to besiege Imam Husain's camp. The Imam stood surrounded by falsehood, yet unmoved. دُعَاءُ الْيَوْمِ الثَّالِثِ — بِدَايَةُ الْحِصَار
- Dua — 4th Moharram (Imam's Peaceful Offer) 4th of Moharram — Imam Husain (AS) offered three peaceful paths to his enemies: return to Mecca, go to a distant frontier, or face Yazid one-on-one. All were refused. He demonstrated that every peaceful option was exhausted before Karbala became inevitable. دُعَاءُ الْيَوْمِ الرَّابِعِ — عَرْضُ الإِمَامِ الصُّلْحَ
- Dua — 5th Moharram (Trusting Allah Alone) 5th of Moharram — enemy forces multiplied and the siege tightened. Earthly support had vanished — Muslim ibn Aqil's mission in Kufa had failed, supporters had dispersed. Imam Husain was left with 72 companions against thousands. - Dua — 6th Moharram (The Imam's Sermon to His Enemies) 6th of Moharram — Imam Husain (AS) delivered his most powerful sermon to the enemy army, reciting their own letters back to them and calling them to righteousness. Most hearts were sealed. He demonstrated that truth must be proclaimed even when it falls on deaf ears. دُعَاءُ الْيَوْمِ السَّادِسِ — خُطْبَةُ الإِمَامِ الْحُسَيْنِ لِلْجَيْشِ
Ramadan
10- ✦ Dua Iftitah — The Opening Supplication of Ramadan Recited during the nights of Ramadan, particularly after Isha namaz. Attributed to Imam al-Mahdi (ATF) through Ali ibn Mahziyar. One of the most beloved and comprehensive supplications of the Ramadan nights. دُعَاءُ الاِفْتِتَاح
- ✦ Dua Abu Hamza Thumali — The Pre-Dawn Supplication of Ramadan Recited in the pre-dawn hours (sehri / sahur) of Ramadan — just before Fajr. Transmitted from Imam Ali ibn al-Husain Zayn al-Abidin (AS), the fourth Imam, to his companion Abu Hamza Thumali. One of the most personal and moving supplications in the tradition — a conversation between the soul and Allah in which the servant confesses sin, recounts Allah's mercy, and asks for forgiveness before dawn. دُعَاءُ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ الثُّمَالِي

- ✦ Dua for Laylat al-Qadr Recited on the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan, especially the 27th دُعَاءُ لَيلَةِ القَدر
- ✦ Niyyat for Eid al-Fitr Namaaz Recited at the start of the Eid al-Fitr prayer on 1 Shawwal, which marks the completion of the Ramadan fast. The Eid prayer is wajib (obligatory) for the community and is led by the Dai or his appointed representative. - Dua of Akhir Jumua (last Friday of Ramadhan) Recited on the eve of the last Friday of Ramadhan (Akhir Jumaa) after the washeq Namaaz, before asking Allah for mercy دُعَاء آخِر جُمُعَة رَمَضَان
- Dua on Completing Quran (Khatm) Recited upon completing a full recitation of the Holy Quran, especially during Ramadan دُعَاءُ خَتمِ القُرآن
- Niyyat for Zakat al-Fitrah (Fitrana) Recited when giving Zakat al-Fitrah — the obligatory charity paid before the Eid al-Fitr prayer on 1 Shawwal. Every Muslim who is able must pay fitrana for themselves and for all dependents in their household (children, family members in one's care). It is given before the Eid prayer, not after. The amount is determined by the Dai al-Mutlaq each year. نِيَّةُ زَكَاةِ الفِطرَة
Jumu'a
7- ✦ Dua Kumayl — The Prayer of Kumayl ibn Ziyad Transmitted from Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS) to his companion Kumayl ibn Ziyad al-Nakhai. Recited on Laylat al-Jum'a (Thursday night) and the night of mid-Shaban. One of the most beloved supplications in the entire Shia-Ismaili tradition, covering sin, divine mercy, and the longing for Allah's nearness. دُعَاءُ كُمَيْل
- ✦ Niyyat for Jumu'a Namaaz Recited silently before the first takbir of Jumu'a Namaaz. Jumu'a is 2 raka'ats of fardh, performed in congregation on Friday after the two khutbas. نِيَّةُ صَلَاةِ الجُمُعَة
- ✦ Dua for Jumu'a — Friday Prayer Recited on Friday (Jumu'a), especially before or after the Jumu'a prayer دُعَاءُ يَوم الجُمُعَة
- ✦ Salawat of Jumu'a — Friday Salawat Recited abundantly on Fridays — the Prophet commanded: 'Send many blessings upon me on Friday' صَلَوَاتُ يَوم الجُمُعَة
- Niyyat for Ghusl al-Jumu'a — Friday Bath Recited before the ritual bath (ghusl) taken on Friday. The ghusl of Jumu'a is a confirmed sunnah (highly recommended). It is best performed before going to the masjid for the Jumu'a prayer. نِيَّةُ غُسْلِ يَوم الجُمُعَة
- Dua — Friday Hour of Acceptance Recited in the final hour before Maghrib on Friday — the blessed hour when duas are accepted دُعَاءُ السَّاعَة المُسْتَجَابَة يَوم الجُمُعَة
- Adhkar after Jumu'a Namaaz Recited after completing the Jumu'a prayer. These remembrances are recommended by prophetic narration and Bohra tradition for sealing the blessed Friday prayer. أَذكَارُ مَا بَعدَ صَلَاةِ الجُمُعَة
Hajj

Umrah

- Sa'ee Opening Dua (standing on Safaa facing the Kaabah) Stand on Safaa facing the Kaabah and recite (requirements in Sa'ee) Sa'ee Opening Dua
- Niyyat of Sa'ee Raising both hands say 'Allaho Akbar. La ilaha illallaah wallaho akbar wa lillaahil hamd' and take the following niyyat Niyyat of Sa'ee
- Sa'ee Dua (running between the green lights) When passing between two green lights (marking the green spot encountered by Hazrat Hajrah) run reciting Sa'ee Dua between green lights
Safar
5- ✦ Dua when boarding a vehicle Recited when boarding any vehicle — car, aircraft, ship, bus — before departure. From Quran 43:13-14, the Prophet (SAW) recited this whenever mounting a conveyance. دُعَاء رُكُوب الدَّابَّة
- ✦ Dua at the start of a journey Recited when setting out on any journey — especially for Ziyarat, Hajj, Umrah, or extended travel. The Prophet (SAW) taught this dua to his companions departing on journeys. دُعَاء بَدء السَّفَر
- Dua when arriving at a new place Recited upon arriving at any new stopping place — a hotel, city, or new destination — including on arrival in Mecca, Medina, Karbala, or any Ziyarat city. The Prophet (SAW) said: 'Whoever says this will not be harmed by anything in that place until he leaves it.' دُعَاء النُّزُول فِي مَنزِل
- Dua on returning home from a journey Recited upon returning home from any journey — Hajj, Umrah, Ziyarat, or travel. The Prophet (SAW) recited this when returning from every journey. He would enter his town and say this dua three times upon sighting it. دُعَاء الرُّجُوع مِنَ السَّفَر
- Traveler's protection dua Comprehensive protection dua for a traveler, recited by those staying behind for the traveler's safety, and by the traveler themselves. Based on the narration that the Prophet (SAW) taught this as a farewell dua. دُعَاء حِفظِ الْمُسَافِر
Wafat & Janaazah
9- Niyyat: Namaaze Janaazah Niyyat of the funeral prayer (Namaaze Janaazah). The first form is taken by the pesh imam; the second by the others present praying behind him نِيَّة صَلَاة الجَنَازَة
- Call to the Namaaze Janaazah Called aloud by one person to draw the attention of participants before the funeral prayer begins الصَّلَاة عَلَى الجَنَازَة

- ✦ Ziyarat Jami'a Kabira — The Comprehensive Salutation to the Imams The most comprehensive and authoritative salutation (ziyarat) addressed to all the Imams. Transmitted by Imam Ali al-Naqi al-Hadi (AS) when asked by the companions for a single ziyarat that could be offered for any Imam at any shrine or from any distance. Recited when visiting any mazaar (shrine) of the Ahl al-Bayt, or from home while facing the qibla. A cornerstone of Bohra devotional practice. الزِّيَارَةُ الْجَامِعَةُ الْكَبِيرَةُ
- Haazehis Salaat (Lailatul Qadr dua) Recited 40 times on each cheek during the washeq of Lailatul Qadr (eve of 23rd Ramadhan), after the 20 rakaats, while in sajdah هَذِهِ صَلَاةٌ
