Niyyat — Maghrib Prayer

نِيَّةُ صَلاَةِ الْمَغْرِب

Before beginning the Maghrib (evening) prayer

Arabic

أُصَلِّي فَرْضَ الْمَغْرِبِ ثَلاَثَ رَكَعَاتٍ مُسْتَقْبِلَ الْقِبْلَةِ أَدَاءً لِلَّهِ تَعَالَى

Transliteration

Uṣallī farḍ al-Maghribi thalātha rakʿātin mustaqbilal-qibla adāʾan lillāhi taʿālā

English

I intend to pray the obligatory Maghrib prayer of three rakats, facing the Qibla, at its due time, for Allah the Most High.
