Niyyat for Eid al-Adha Namaaz

نِيَّةُ صَلَاةِ عِيدِ الأَضحَى

Recited at the start of the Eid al-Adha prayer on 10 Dhul Hijjah — the Day of Sacrifice, which commemorates Prophet Ibrahim's (AS) willingness to sacrifice his son. The prayer is wajib and is offered in congregation. Two forms: for the ma'moom (follower) and for the imam (leader). The prayer is offered at the Eid grounds (musalla) or masjid.
