Supplication
Dua of Ihram (recited after the niyyat)
The long supplication recited after forming the niyyat of ihram (opening portion)
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ * وَصَلَّى اللهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّيْنَ * وَعَلٰى اَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ * اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمُسْتَجِيْبِيْنَ لِاَمْرِكَ * الْخَاشِعِيْنَ عِنْدَ ذِكْرِكَ * فَاِنَّا فِيْ قَبَضْتِكَ * لَنَسْتَرِقَّ اِلَّا مَا وَقَيْتَ * وَلَا نَأْخُذَ اِلَّا مَا اَعْطَيْتَ * تَبَارَكْتَ رَبَّنَا وَتَعَالَيْتَ * اَللَّهُمَّ اِنَّا نُرِيْدُ الْحَجَّ لِثَوَابِكَ طَالِبِيْنَ * وَمِنْ عِقَابِكَ رَاهِبِيْنَ * وَفِيْمَا رَغَّبْتَ رَاغِبِيْنَ * وَمِمَّا خَوَّفْتَ خَائِفِيْنَ * فَاجْعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمُيَسَّرِيْنَ * وَاكْتُبْنَا فِي الْمُتَقَبَّلِيْنَ * وَلَا تَجْعَلْنَا مِنْ فَضْلِكَ مَحْرُوْمِيْنَ وَلَا مَرْدُوْدِيْنَ * وَارْحَمْنَا فَاَنْتَ اَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. May Allah send blessings upon Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets, and upon the People of his House, the Pure. O Allah, make us among those who answer Your command, who tremble at Your remembrance — for we are within Your grasp; we possess no good but what You preserve, and we accept nothing except what You grant. Blessed are You, our Lord, and exalted. O Allah, we intend the Hajj, seeking Your reward, dreading Your punishment, desiring what You have made desirable, fearing what You have made fearsome. So make us among those for whom it is made easy, and write us among the accepted; do not make us deprived of Your bounty, nor among the rejected; have mercy on us, for You are the Most Merciful of the merciful.
