Dua at Iftaar — Breaking the Fast
دُعَاءُ الإِفطَار
Recited at the moment of breaking the fast (iftaar) at sunset
Arabic
اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ صُمْتُ وَعَلَى رِزْقِكَ أَفْطَرْتُ، ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأُ وَابْتَلَّتِ الْعُرُوقُ وَثَبَتَ الْأَجْرُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ
Transliteration
Allāhumma laka ṣumtu wa ʿalā rizqika afṭartu, dhahaba-ẓ-ẓamaʾu wabtallatil-ʿurūqu wa thabatal-ajru in shāʾa-llāh
English
O Allah, for You I fasted and upon Your provision I break my fast. Thirst has gone, the veins are moistened, and the reward is confirmed, if Allah wills.
