Dua at Qurbani — The Udhiyah Sacrifice
Recited at the time of the Qurbani (Udhiyah) sacrifice on Eid ul-Adha (10th Dhul Hijjah) and the three days of Tashriq (11th–13th). Each head of household offers an animal in the name of Allah.
وَجَّهتُ وَجهِيَ لِلَّذِي فَطَرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ حَنِيفًا وَمَا أَنَا مِنَ الْمُشرِكِين إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَبِذَلِكَ أُمِرتُ وَأَنَا مِنَ الْمُسلِمِين بِسمِ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَر اللَّهُمَّ هَذَا مِنكَ وَلَكَ اللَّهُمَّ تَقَبَّل مِنِّي
Wajjahtu wajhiya lillādhī faṭaras samāwāti wal arḍa ḥanīfan wa mā ana minal mushrikīn Inna ṣalātī wa nusukī wa maḥyāya wa mamātī lillāhi rabbil ʿālamīn lā sharīka lahu wa bidhālika umirtu wa ana minal muslimīn Bismillāhi wallāhu Akbar Allāhumma hādha minka wa laka Allāhumma taqabbal minnī
I have turned my face toward the One who created the heavens and the earth, in pure devotion, and I am not of those who associate partners with Allah. Indeed, my prayer, my sacrifice, my life and my death are all for Allah, the Lord of all worlds. He has no partner. Thus I am commanded, and I am of those who submit. In the name of Allah, and Allah is the Greatest. O Allah, this is from You and for You. O Allah, accept it from me.
